I have been teaching here at Our Savior Preschool for 20 years, working in the three year old and pre-kindergarten classes.  This is my fourth year as the director.  I have an AA degree in Liberal Arts and I am certified in Early Childhood Education.  My husband Bob and I both attend worship here and enjoy being a part of the Praise Team.  We have two children, Sarah  and Bobby.  Sarah graduated from San Jose State and Bobby served as a Marine and is currently attending culinary school.  I look forward to serving the families of the preschool and sharing the love of Christ.

This is my second year at Our Savior Lutheran, and I'm so excited to be here.  I have been teaching since 2011 and I love working with young children and really enjoy teaching here at OSL Preschool.  I grew up in Milpitas and now make Fremont my home.  I really enjoy living in the bay area with all the fun things to do.  In my spare time I spend time with my family watching my daughter play softball and soccer.  I look forward to this year and watching the children grow.

I have been at Our Savior Lutheran Preschool since 2004.  I have cared for children since 1986.  When I had my first child I became a stay at home mom.  When my girls became preschool age I enrolled them at Our Savior.  During this time I owned and operated a small family childcare from my home.  In 2004 I reorganized my childcare to an after school care program to better suit the needs of my children.  This new schedule made it possible for me to go back to college.  I have a degree in Human Development  and over 24 units in Early Childhood Studies.  I I have been the Teacher for the M-F 3's for the last 9 years.  Over the years I have created a curriculum that encourages verbal language especially for children who are dual language learners.  Each child develops at their own pace.  It is my job to create a developmentally appropriate learning environment for each individual child in my care.

I am celebrating 27 years of teaching at Our Savior Preschool, during this time I have worked with preschool and pre-kindergarten students, served as Director from 2000 to 2010 then returned to my true passion teaching.  I am currently a Lead Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten program and an office administrator.  I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and enjoy taking classes and attending conferences to stay current in the field.  I was born and raised in Fremont and live here still.  In my spare time I love to travel, read and spend time with my family and friends.  I look forward to another amazing year with the children and families of OSL.

This is my fourth year at OSL and I am delighted and blessed to be here.  I am originally from England, where I went to college to train as a teacher.  I then went on to spend 7 happy years teaching kindergarten.  On coming to California with my husband Rob, I spent the first two years volunteering at various schools.  We moved to Fremont just before our son Matt was born.  I worked at my son's preschool as a substitute then as a teacher.  I also became a mentor for the YWCA in San Jose and brought their parenting class to Fremont.  I was actively involved with my son's elementary school and found a position with Fremont Congregational Nursery School.  I was there for sixteen years as a teacher and assistant director.  Our son is now 23 and a senior at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona.  I stay current with educational issues and enjoy taking classes.  I also enjoy reading, music, and time with friends and family.  I believe that the young child's experience at preschool should be fun and meaningful.  We are laying a foundation that encompasses all aspects of life, spiritual, academic and social.  If that foundation is strong then it will last a lifetime.

I thank the Lord that I have been given this opportunity to work with the children and staff at OSL.
